2. Data Processing on Our Website
This Privacy Policy applies to the website a-s-s.ch and to the personal data collected via this website. When you visit our website, we automatically collect technical information such as:

- Pages visited
We store this information for a maximum period of 12 months for security reasons, to ensure the stability and operational security of our systems.
We analyse the use of our website using Matomo, a web analytics tool hosted on our own servers in Switzerland. This is used exclusively to optimise the website in terms of usability. This data is not merged with other personal data sources or passed on to third parties. No personal evaluation takes place; all analyses are based on anonymised data sets.

2.3 Payment Processing (Saferpay)
Payments are processed via Saferpay, a payment service provided by Worldline (formerly SIX Payment Services), based in Switzerland. When you make a payment, you are redirected to the Saferpay payment page. Payment data you enter (e.g. card number, expiry date) is transmitted directly to Saferpay and is not stored on our servers.

2.4 Newsletter (Infomaniak Newsletter)
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will send a confirmation email to the address you provided containing a verification link. By clicking this link, you confirm your subscription (double opt-in procedure).
By confirming your subscription, you consent to the storage of your email address, the date of registration, your IP address, and the mailing list name. We use your email address and first name exclusively for managing and sending the newsletter you requested.
Our newsletter service is provided by Infomaniak Network AG, Rue Eugène-Marziano 25, 1227 Geneva, Switzerland. Your data is stored exclusively on servers in Switzerland. Infomaniak does not use your data for its own marketing purposes. For more information, see infomaniak.com.
Our newsletters do not contain hidden trackers, third-party advertising, or links to external sites unrelated to their content.
The legal basis for sending the newsletter is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 31(1) FADP (consent). Every newsletter contains instructions on how to unsubscribe.
2.5 Member Image Uploads
Registered members may upload images to our platform. These images may be displayed on the website and used as product images or in community galleries. By uploading an image, you grant aSS – a Swiss String a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and use the image in connection with our website and products.
We do not publish your real name, address, or other personal contact details in connection with your uploaded images. Your contributions are displayed under a pseudonym of your choosing. Other members and visitors will see only your chosen username.
Our internal messaging system allows members to contact each other without revealing personal contact details. We are not responsible for any personal information that users choose to disclose to each other through the messaging system. We strongly advise you not to share personal contact information (such as your real name, address, phone number, or email address) via the messaging system.
Uploaded images are stored on servers located in Switzerland (Infomaniak). We reserve the right to remove images that violate our Terms of Use.
The legal basis for processing uploaded content is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of the membership agreement) and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent given at the time of upload).
3. Hosting and Data Location
Our website is hosted by Infomaniak Network AG, Rue Eugène-Marziano 25, 1227 Geneva, Switzerland. All data is stored exclusively on servers located in Switzerland. Infomaniak is bound by Swiss data protection law and processes data in accordance with applicable regulations.
4. Data Security
We use SSL/TLS encryption for all communication on our website, using the highest encryption level supported by your browser. You can tell whether a page is being transmitted securely by the closed padlock icon in your browser’s address bar.
We also apply appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or total loss, destruction, or unauthorised access by third parties.
